About Making Good
Making Good began as a small group of local crafters organised by Deb Cairns who decided to make warm woollen blankets for children in need.
We now create all sorts of products; beanies, baby clothing, blankets, hot water bottle covers to name just a few. We’re always coming up with new ideas.
We create handmade products that keep tamariki toasty.
Our focus is on using natural fibres in a sustainable way. We utilise every piece of fabric we can, including repurposing woollen blankets.
We supply products to hospitals, charities and organisations who support Kiwi families. We’re a charity - our funds are used to buy material and supplies to help tamariki in need.
Sew with us!
We are a growing community of regular and casual members who get together to sew in Auckland and Waiheke each month.
We also welcome volunteers who sew from home. We provide the materials, you bring the sewing machine!
If you enjoy regular group crafting sessions and might be keen to join our crew, find out more about our Auckland and Waiheke groups or register to join us. Learn more about what’s involved in our FAQs section.
