Our fab community sewing day!
It all begins with an idea.
We had our very first open sewing day last Sunday and it was brilliant! If you can imagine 23 amazing women in a room with their sewing machines - not sure if the machines or the happy chat were louder.
This mighty team pumped out over 100 merino reversible hats for distribution to low decile schools (please get in touch if a school near you needs some) and managed to get through cake, brownie, tea and coffee AND make some new friends along the way.
We all agreed we should do this more often SO second Sunday of every month we are ON!!!!
The new venue is the lovely garden view room upstairs at the Waiorea Trust on Great North Road - just by the lights at Motions Road end.
Starting Sunday 10th August 12.30 - 4.30.
